Science is all around you. Your backyard, your kitchen, and other areas around your home provide natural “laboratories” for children. Children are curious; exploring with science can be lots of fun while also teaching them a great deal about themselves and their world. At home you can encourage your child by asking questions about the science we are doing in school and by participating in many of the take-home activities. You might help your child to understand the importance of science in everyday life by showing how science is found in almost everything we do, from cooking with a recipe to measuring with metric tools. Just as SAFETY is our MOTTO in CLASS. Please make sure SAFETY is your MOTTO at HOME!!!
Every week I will post an at home science activities of the week that will go along with our weekly lesson. I hope this will be a wonderful way for you to bond with your child. Your child can this discuss his/her results with other students and actually experience working as REAL scientist do!!

For this week’s science experiment,
SAFETY ALERT: ALWAYS REMEMBER even the simplest activities with the most basic of materials can be harmful or dangerous, so parental supervision and guidance is critical at all times
