3 types: clastic (rocks stick together), chemical (formed from solutions), and organic (remains of plants and animals/living things)

IGGIEIGNEOUS
(made from hardened magma and or lava)
2 Types: extrusive (small crystals) or intrusive (large crystals)

METAMORPHIC

(made from rock that has been put under heat and pressure deep within Earth
2 types: non-foliated and foliated
