Imhotep Academy at North Carolina State University is a successfully-established program, and a great
opportunity for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders to learn about mathematics, science, and technology in a fun and interactive way. Preregistration can be completed at the Science House website by clicking HERE. Imhotep Academy, North Carolina State University’s science and math program for middle school students, has two summer sessions, each of which are still only about half-filled.
Important info…
- Each session lasts one week.
- The first session focuses on Chemistry. This session starts Monday June 9 – Friday June 13 from 7:45 – 12:15, and is tentatively set to focus on Chemistry. There’s a mandatory orientation for this session on Thursday May 29 at 6:30pm.
- The 2nd session focuses on algebra. This session starts Monday July 21 – Friday July 25 from 7:45 – 12:15 each day. The Algebra session is designed to give students a head start on Algebra, which can be difficult to understand for some. Students consistently come out of this week with a better grasp on algebra than they had coming into it. The mandatory orientation for this session is on Tuesday July 15 at 6:30pm.
- The cost for each session is $150.
